Maguire, Maddison, Robertson & Loftus-Cheek
These are players we should have bought in.

Maguire / Robertson - We could've got Maguire and Robertson when they were at Hull but didn't want to shell out an extra £2m for them, now they must be worth £30m each.

Maddison - been linked with him since he was a Coventry, now Leicester have signed him for £22m. This boy looks a talent and sure to be a England player in the future.

Loftus-Cheek - Okay, we still have a chance to sign this powerhouse, but we could have picked him up last season at an eighth of the price. Palace will sure to be in for him, but his recent performances might warrant a Chelsea stay.

Hopefully Pellegrini will bleed some of our Academy boys through. Obviously Rice is now a first team regular, with reports suggesting he will now adopt a CDM role which ROI use him as. Burke isn't good enough, Oxford apparently has a bad attitude. Cullen, is he good enough? Looks very small.

Domingos Quina and Toni Martinez are meant to be alright.

What has happened to Samuelsen?

Anyone else?

IRONS.

A few of the kids will get a chance to impress Pellers in pre season, not sure Martinez will make it, but there are others.

Don't forget 19yo DECCERS

Marcus Browne, Nathan Holland, and one I think they should be trying in the first team in pre-season, left back Vashon Neufville. Really impressed with what I've seen of him.

Re: Maguire, Maddison, Robertson & Loftus-Cheek
I've been around long enough to know that there's never a 'sure thing' when buying a player.

Maddison though, is as near as it gets in my opinion. Young, talented and English with a sensible head on his shoulders. And if he performs anywhere near his potential then he'll have a blinding sell on value too.

This Maddison better be fucking good.

The way everyone is going on, I'm expecting him to absolutely tear it up next year.

Re: Maguire, Maddison, Robertson & Loftus-Cheek
There are some big assumptions here as to whether we wanted the players badly or whether they actually wanted to come to us, but hindsight is always 20/20 as well.

So yes we haven't signed them and in hindsight we probably could/should, but it's not as simple as just ponying up the asking price and it's a done deal from then.

I think the one that we really should have moved heaven and earth for was Butland when he went to Stoke. They got him for a very good price at the time.

RE: Loftus Cheek- well out of our price range now, I am sure Chelsea will be wanting to loan him out for a huge rental fee, or asking 50 million plus by the time the World Cup is over.

I think Rice is more suited to the CDM role as well.

Re: Maguire, Maddison, Robertson & Loftus-Cheek
Martinez looks too slow for the prem

Samuelsen has been around for a few years now and not looked close to having any sort of impact

Holland and Oxford look the two most likely to be part of the first team in the near future

Re: Maguire, Maddison, Robertson & Loftus-Cheek
Maguire looks a bit slow and we got Diop for the height.

Loftus-Cheek I haven't seen enough of.

Martinez isn't going to be good enough . Holland , Browne , Pask and Lewis could break through soon though

Re: Maguire, Maddison, Robertson & Loftus-Cheek
Martinez got about 100 mins gametime at a La Liga 2 team since January, that tells you as much as you need to know about him at this point in his career.

Re: Maguire, Maddison, Robertson & Loftus-Cheek
From listening to those who watch our boys Browne and Holland sound the best prospects.
Quina is still young so may develop
I’d have to say the likes of Samuelson , Martinez etc aren’t going to make it and may get shifted with Cullen and Burke.
Suspect Oxford will be in some demand and we will sell him

Saw Loftus Cheek at the end of the season for Palace and he looked deserving of the England squad
Came on and did well v Tunisia and supposedly starting v Panama so may well be £30m by next week

Perhaps we'll see Haksabanovic figure more this coming season too?

Ere Ironskej, it's more skilful to predict these sort of players before they get bought for loads of money. After is fucking easy. You plank.

Re: Maguire, Maddison, Robertson & Loftus-Cheek
Would be nice see some of these players involved. You dont know what they can do til you try them
Can remember Browne had some great u23 games and then scored 4 in a game.
And Moyes picked Carroll AND Hugill on the bench. There was no conceivable way he was going to use Hugill in that situation

Nathan Trott looks a very decent GK prospect

Re: Maguire, Maddison, Robertson & Loftus-Cheek
Cullen, Samuelson and Burke not good enough

Quina is too lightweight.

Martinez seems a bit over hyped.

I suspect Oxford will go on to have a good career.
